The Webber family first became involved in the culinary scene when brothers Josh and Jed, along with their sister Kate, renovated two turn-of-the-century barns located on the family’s Black Angus cattle farm into the Gibbet Hill Grill and the Barn at Gibbet Hill. They were an instant hit, with the Grill earning the highest rating of any steakhouse in the Boston area by Phantom Gourmet, and the Barn being voted best wedding venue in the Boston area by CBS4′s A-List. Following that, Josh and Jed, along with Jed’s wife, Asia, opened the Scarlet Oak Tavern in a 250-year old colonial home located on Hingham’s historic Main Street. Fireside Catering is their third venture, allowing the award-winning cuisine and service found in the restaurants to be brought nearly anywhere in Massachusetts and beyond. Kate rounds out the team as the Wine Director, with certification as a Sommelier through the Court of Masters Sommeliers and the International Sommelier Guild, a Certified Specialist of Wine through the Society of Wine Educators, and an Associate Member of the Institute of Wine and Spirits through the Wine and Spirits Education Trust. The Webber family is thrilled to offer the same brand of service and high-quality cuisine they are known for at the Estate at Moraine Farm and the Barn at Gibbet Hill here at Fruitlands Museum.
