Wedding Cake Toppers

The history of wedding cake toppers is varied, but it is fair to say, cake toppers gained significant popularity in the 1950’s.   These statuettes of a bride and groom were usually made of wax or plastic and found at cake shops or in department store catalogs.

Fast forward to modern times, with weddings coming in all shapes in sizes, it is now much less common to see these ‘traditional’ cake toppers on wedding cakes.  Sure, we still see toppers symbolizing a couple, but more often we see cake toppers that reflect the couple’s theme or interests.

From whimsical to romantic and quirky to traditional….take peek at few wedding cake toppers we’ve seen over the years!

It’s Like Rain on Your Wedding Day…

Do not fret over the weather as you approach your wedding day.  While you might have your heart set on an outdoor wedding ceremony, there’s no telling what Mother Nature might have in store.  Anna & Andrew had plans for an outdoor wedding on the lawn, but the weather did not cooperate.  In spite of the rain, their wedding was still absolutely gorgeous under the tent where they still enjoyed the sweeping views of Nashoba Valley.  After the ceremony the weather cleared, and Anna & Andrew were able to pose for many beautiful photos throughout the property! Thanks to Paul Robert Berman for sharing these stunning photos.  Best wishes Anna & Andrew!
